Board Pallet Comes To Town
Westend Pallets
have introduced a new pallet for the Australian market called
Wafer Board Pallet. Currently being manufactured in the
US, specifically being used for export to Australia, Westend
Pallets is currently distributing them as a second hand
pallet for export.
Westend Pallets
will monitor the response in the Australian market place
for demand of these wafer board pallets and if demand is
strong they plan to tool up for manufacturing them here
in Australia.
Currently available
in export size 1120mm x 1120mm being able to hold up to
1200kg with ease, as well as being lightweight at only 27kg
and cost effective.
The wafer board
pallet supplied with a 'Non Wood Packing Material Declaration'
for customs.
This particleboard material
(heat processed wood) automatically fulfils the requirements
of Notice no. 2002/58 and FAO ISPM 15, because of its process
of manufacturing by using heat, pressure and glue.
The second hand wafer pallet,
that's currently available, has 4 bearers and is only forklift
compatible. Westend Pallets will also look at the feasibility
of a pallet jack compatible pallet when they enter the manufacturing
stage.
